At a singing contest, dance competition or school talent show, voting needs to follow the program. Prepare your contestants, choose the structure and save the winner announcement for the right moment.

Choose a single vote for a straight final, rounds for several stages, categories for separate awards or head-to-head matchups for duels. Decide how contestants advance and what happens in a tie. Explain those rules before opening voting: Zapop counts the votes, but the competition rules are up to your team.
Prepare contestants and stages
Add contestants one by one or paste a list, with photos if they help people recognize them. In rounds, you choose who advances to the next stage. Categories let you run separate awards. Rehearse with the big screen to check the order of names, how the audience gets in and whether it is readable from the seats.
Make room for the winner announcement
The audience votes on phones using the access you prepared. Close voting when the announced period ends and save the reveal for the host’s cue. After the show, view and export the report. For a warm-up or a playful break between acts, try the applause meter, but don’t treat it as a precise acoustic measurement for awarding a prize.

Yes. The rounds format lets you choose which contestants advance. If your competition uses duels, choose the head-to-head format.
Does the winner appear as soon as voting closes?
No. The organizer decides when to reveal results on screen, so you can time the announcement with the host.
